Argonia Continuous Learning Plan Guidance

Argonia Parent Education Guide

Spring Semester 2020: 4th 9 weeks

Curriculum and assignments being sent from the teachers are the minimum standards your student(s) need to complete to finish out this unusual end of the school year. This work is required for students to receive credit for the fourth nine weeks.  If student(s) do not complete and return the assignments, they will not receive credit. The semester grade will be averaged between the third 9 weeks and the fourth 9 weeks grades.

Students will be issued a free Kansas library card to check out online books or audiobooks through the Kansas State Library.  Contact Eddie Tracy at etracy@argonia359.org if you need assistance or have questions.

Elementary Parents:

  • Teachers will be putting together packets for each week. In each week’s packet, there will be a weekly lesson plan sheet and materials needed to complete the lessons for the week.

  • Each teacher will be posting lesson videos on their YouTube channel for your students to watch. These videos will be referenced on the weekly lesson plan sheet.

  • Completed assignments should be placed back in the packet and returned to the school on Fridays when picking up the next week’s packet.  You  may also submit assignments through Class Dojo.

  • The weekly packet exchange will be on Fridays.  There will be a drop box in front of the elementary school for returned packets.  If you have a packet to pick up, it will be on a table in the entryway.  Your child's teacher will send you information regarding weekly packet pick up.

  • Packet pick up and return on Fridays can be done when picking up meals or from 11:00-4:00.

  • If you are unable to pick up or drop off packets, please contact the elementary school to make other arrangements.

  • Please message your child’s teacher using Class Dojo or email if you have questions or need assistance.  Teachers will also be doing weekly check-ins to see how things are going for you at home.

Junior High and Senior High Parents:

  • Teachers will be posting and collecting all work through Google Classroom.

  • Along with being available through email, each teacher will have posted “office hours” for students to communicate digitally during those specified times.
