4th & 5th Reading Party
Nature Day at the River Park
The 4th and 5th grade classes do a quarterly reading goal instead of a monthly reading goal. Since they only get four parties a year while the rest of the classes get one each month, we try to go all out for the party. Our final party was a trip to the Argonia River Park for a nature day. We started off with a nature scavenger hunt. When the hunt was over, we came back together and shared what we had found while roaming the park. Next, we had a picnic. The kids got blankets and spread them out around the park to enjoy some snacks and refreshing drinks. Then we used nature to create some art. They were given poster board and glue. They were to write their name using items found in nature. They looked pretty awesome!! They finished the party off with some free play. We had beautiful weather to enjoy the outdoors!
