State Allows Parents to Attend Games

The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) met on Tuesday, December 8th to revisit their ban on all spectators until January 28th. The KSHSAA board voted to allow "up to 2 parents/guardians per family of participants" to attend. A few important clarifications are necessary:

1. Participants include players, managers, cheerleaders, and pep band members.

2. If a family has multiple participants (a BB player, a cheerleader, and a pep band member, for example), the family is still limited to 2 parents/guardians. This is different than the "2 tickets per participant" used for fall sports.

3. Only parents/guardians qualify; this is the same as our league planned on doing earlier, so our list of parents/guardians is already established.

4. All games will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person; details will be shared on the website and social media platforms for each game.

If you have any questions about the new KSHSAA rule, please contact the school.
