AHS to Host 1A Regional Basketball Tournament!
UPDATE: Due to the winter weather, the boy's first round game at Wichita Classical School will now be played on Wednesday, February 20th at 6:00 PM.
Argonia High School has been selected as the host school for the 2019 1A Regional Championship. The tournament begins on Monday, February 18, 2019, with quarterfinal girls’ games played at the higher seeded team’s school. AHS girls are the number one seed and have a bye that round. AHS boys play Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Wichita Classical School. Game time is 6:00 PM. Should the boys win that game, they will advance to the next round on Friday, February 22, 2019.
Argonia High School will host all remaining games starting Thursday, February 21, 2019. There will be 2 games each night, starting at 6:00 PM. The determination of the time each school plays will not be made until after Monday and Tuesday’s first round games are completed. Argonia High School is very excited to host this KSHSAA sponsored school event. We would invite everyone to come out and support the Raiders as they seek a spot in the State Basketball Tournament. Fill the gym with a “sea of red” as the Raiders play on their home floor for post season action!!
