Lady Raiders are Sub-State Runner-Up

The Argonia Lady Raiders traveled to Flinthills in Rosalia on Saturday, October 20th for their Sub-state Tournament, where their season ended as the 2018 Sub-state Runners-Up. They went in as the #1 seed for their bracket and played Moran-Marmaton Valley for the semi-final match. The Raiders took care of business winning in 2 sets, 25-16 and 25-11. For the final match, the Ladies faced a tough Moundridge team and came out fired up and ready to go, beating the Wildcats in the first set, 25-18. The second set went back and forth the entire time and the Raiders came up just short, 21-25. For the third set the girls battled all the way to the end, but fell to the Wildcats 17-25. The Lady Raiders played with such heart, drive, and determination that it was truly either team's ballgame the entire time.

The Lady Raiders end their season with heads held high and a 39-2 record. They were also the Norwich Invitational Champions, the Spartan Invitational Champions, the Central Invitation Champions, 1st place in SCBL league, SCBL Tournament Champions, and the 2018 Regional Tournament Champions this season. Thank you to the seniors, Cora Vineyard and Baylee Booker, for their dedication to the Argonia volleyball program for the last 4 years, we wish you all the best in your future endeavours! Thank you again to the parents, family members, faculty, friends, and community members for being on this journey with the Lady Raiders the last few months! Once a Raider, Always a Raider!
