2017 Argonia High School Commencement

High School graduation marks the end of one life’s journeys and the beginning of another. This past Sunday was no different for our senior class of 2017. Their hard work and dedication here at Argonia High School will be missed but not forgotten.

Valedictorian Jesse Tracy will be heading to Kansas State University in the fall. Seth Hemberger, this year’s salutatorian, was the male Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) Citizenship recipient for Argonia High School. Seth was also awarded Argonia High School’s Dale M. Dennis   Excellence in Education Award. Seth plans to attend K-State majoring in agribusiness. Haily Gaddis and Kelly Mosher plan to enter the work force directly after high school.  Jaylynn Baker is planning on going into the United States Marine Corps. Marie Barth will be going back home to Germany and finishing her high school career. Jordan Thompson was the female recipient of the KSHSAA Citizenship Award for Argonia High school and is planning on attending Hutchinson Community College working toward an Associate of Applied Science in Radiology Technology. Courtney Larson is planning to attend Vernon College to become a surgical technician and then attending medical school. Kaycee Brower is planning to attend Northern Oklahoma College and majoring in nursing. In total, the graduating class of 2017 was awarded $34,000 in scholarships.

The faculty and staff here at Argonia High School wish each and every one of our senior the best of luck in each of their endeavors.
