Argonia Volleyball Players Receive Academic Honors

The Kansas Volleyball Association honors varsity teams and individual players that demonstrate superior academic achievement during their volleyball season. The All-Academic First Team consists of those players with a 4.0 GPA, and players with a 3.75 – 3.99 GPA are named Honorable Mention. The Argonia Lady Raiders that received First Team honors are Leah Fitch, Cora Vineyard, Baylee Booker, and Hope Casner. Jesse Tracy received the Honorable Mention award. In addition to the individual awards, the Argonia varsity team received the Team Academic Award, which is awarded to teams with an average GPA of 3.75 – 4.0.

As a coach, I am so very proud of these girls and their accomplishments on and off the court. My coaching philosophy incorporates respectable morals and values to help prepare these young girls for adulthood and stresses to them the importance of performing well in the classroom. They sign contracts stating they are students that display appropriate school behavior before they are athletes.
