Titan Junior Varsity Football Underway
The A&A Titan Junior Varsity football team kicked off their season on Monday, September 12th at Caldwell versus the Bluejays. This year’s JV Titan team returns 1 player from Argonia from last year, Zach Haxton. New players from Argonia include Micah Carter, Griffin Brown, Aaron VanNatta, and Grant Hutton.
The new season got off to a rough start, as Caldwell scored on their first four possessions and led 28-8. The team settled down and played much better after the first quarter, eventually falling 48-14.
For Argonia, Zach played offensive end and defensive end, collecting numerous tackles on defense. Micah played defensive end, as well, making several stops. Griffin lined up as a guard on offense and nose guard on defense. Aaron played nose guard on defense and he recovered a fumble. Grant looks to play his first game next week.
The Titan JV team travels to Flinthills on Monday, September 19th for a 6:00pm contest versus the Mustangs.
