Body Venture Exhibit at Argonia Elementary School
Students at Argonia Elementary School had the opportunity to “tour” through the human body in an exhibit by the Kansas Department of Education. Body Venture is a hands-on, interactive exhibit that helps students learn about the human body and teaches them to make good choices to keep them healthy and safe. The exhibit was a huge hit with our kids. The kids enjoyed the “tour” of the body very much and they learned a lot.
Our Body Venture exhibit would not have been possible without all the help we had with the set-up, station presentations, and the tear-down when we were finished. This is a very large exhibit that took up the entire elementary gym so we needed a lot of help getting it set-up and taken down. I would like to thank all the parents and teachers who came in the evening before to help set up the exhibit: Jim and Tara Pierce, Nathan Coleman, Daren Drouhard, Blake Hemberger, Keri and Dennis and Kolton Dickerson, Susan and Briana Neifert, Bonnie Dunn, Christine Short, and Kiley Davis.
On the day of the exhibit we had high school students and a parent who conducted the presentations at each station. They all did an outstanding job of working with our kids: Krista Neifert, Shannon Neifert, Lindsay Drouhard, Cori Drouhard, Devon Allen, Ashley Rowan, Natali Goertzen, Cody Johnson, Brindan Cotta, Laramie Greene, Samantha Haskin, and Janis Kiser. This same group along with Mr. Mead and Mr. Lenny helped tear-down the exhibit and re-load the truck so it could move on the next school.
I am always impressed with the willingness of our parents, teachers, and older students to give of their time to help create positive experiences for our elementary kids. Their help was very much appreciated!
