Titan Football Players Receive Honors

The Titan football team finished their season with a 9 – 2 record and were district champions, regional champions, and sectional runner-ups.  The strong season earned several players from both schools post-season honors.  Senior Noah Phillips who earned honors on both sides of the ball led the Argonia players.  Noah was named to the SCBL All-League 1st team for offensive and defensive end.  He was also an 8-man Division I District 5 unanimous selection for 1st team offensive and defensive end.  Noah was also voted as the District 5 MVP.  His efforts also landed him on the Wichita Eagle and Topeka Capital Journal All-State teams and the Sports in Kansas top seniors list.  Two other Argonia seniors also earned post season awards as Judd Griffith was named to the SCBL All-League 2nd Team for offensive line and Cooper Topinka was named to the All-District Honorable Mention Team for defensive line.  Junior Seth Drouhard also had a solid year and earned honors on several teams.  Seth was named to the SCBL All-League 1st Team Offensive line, All-District 1st Team Offensive line and 2nd Team Defensive line, and he earned All-State Honorable Mention Offensive Line from the Wichita Eagle.  I would like to congratulate these young men on their accomplishments.  I would also like to thank all the seniors that were on the team this year for their years of hard work and their leadership this year.  Each senior will be missed but I wish all of you the best in your future endeavors.  Go Titans!
