Tori Morrison Wins Raider of the Month for October 2019

Tori Morrison, a sixth grader at AJS, became the next “Raider of the Month” for October, 2019.  The Activities/Athletics Department of Argonia Junior/Senior High School has decided to recognize one student a month who has demonstrated exceptional pride and integrity while competing in athletics or activities.  Students are nominated by coaches and sponsors and, once a month, a student is chosen as “Raider of the Month.”

Tori was chosen for the month of October after being nominated by Mrs. Paxson.  She had this to say about Tori:

I would like to nominate Tori Morrison for Raider of the Month based on the great school spirit she's shown this week by going all out for dress up days. She is also working hard on the Junior High volleyball team.  Tori has transitioned amazingly well to the new responsibilities and independence that's expected from our Jr/Sr High students. She is well-prepared for every class, gives her best on assignments (even choosing to redo any assignment she's not proud of), is getting better at asking for help and using her resources, constantly completes all her assignments thoroughly, uses great creativity in projects, and shows great teamwork with partners in activities. Mrs. Paxson is SO PROUD of her great work ethic and how well she demonstrates responsibility for herself and her efforts. She's going to achieve great things in this new school as a future Raider!

The “Raider of the Month” is part of a renewed effort to build school pride.  The student selected has their picture on a bulletin board along with comments from the coach or sponsor who nominated him or her.  Look for a new student in November!!
