Spring Family Reading and Activity Night
Students went "Down to the Sea" on Monday, April 15th at Argonia Elementary's Family Reading and Activity Night. Families arrived at 6:00 pm to eat a dinner of hotdogs, salad, chips, oranges, and Klondike bars. Yum! Then at 6:30, families started rotating between three different centers. Dr. McPherron and Mrs. Lackey were out on the playground, showing families the different games they could play. Families could also play basketball, soccer, or play on the equipment. Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Dickerson were in the library, reading Down to the Sea with Mr. Magee to everyone. Once the story was finished, families could read with each other. Miss Hemberger, Mrs. Russo, and Miss Poljansek were in the IRC room managing the art project. Families created jellyfish with different art supplies.
A big thank you to everyone who helped out and to the families that attended. We all really enjoyed ourselves!
