The Argonia Preschool Class was honored to have Kansas State Representative Vince Wetta come to visit and read to them on Tuesday, November 18. Representative Wetta came to read for the "Kansas Reads to Preschoolers" project organized by the Kansas State Library and the Kansas Coalition for School Readiness. The project is designed to emphasize the importance of reading and allows preschools across the state to showcase our programs to our state legislators.
Representative Wetta was welcomed to the class by the preschoolers who sang him the "Welcome Song". He then read the books Bear Feels Sick and Run Turkey Run to the students. The preschool students also received a "Bear Feels Sick" bookmark to commemorate the occasion.
We would like to thank Representative Wetta for taking the time to come and visit our preschool classroom and for reading to the students. They enjoyed it very much!
