Family Reading Night: Pumpkins!

On Monday, October 7th, Argonia Elementary had this year’s first Family Reading & Activity Night. The theme was pumpkins, and the evening started with dinner at 5:30. Families enjoyed turkey subs, macaroni & cheese, broccoli, and pumpkin bars. Activities started at 6:00 with each family getting a schedule when they first arrived. They rotated between two centers that lasted 15 minutes each. In the gym, Creek Love read the books Pumpkin Town and Cinderhazel. We love it when our high schoolers interact with the younger kids! In Mrs. Davis’s room, students were able to decorate pumpkins using sharpies, puff paint, and regular paint. A huge thank you to Mrs. Dickerson for getting the pumpkins from her family’s pumpkin patch! Thank you to all the teachers who stayed and helped, the cafeteria ladies for staying and making sure we were all fed, and to all the families who joined us! Looking forward to the next Family Reading Night!
