HS League Music Festival

    On March 5th the high school choir and band along with soloists competed at Cowley CCC in the annual league music festival. They performed twelve entries and out of those entries they received 10 I ratings (highest). The judges praised our students on not only their talent but also their professionalism and positive attitudes! We took two vocal ensembles, one mixed and the other treble. Both ensembles received a I. The following students compose our choir: Senior - Brant Cotta, Juniors – Hope Casner, Creek Love, Taylor Schulte, Hayley Sprouse, Sophomore – Aubreigh Haxton, Freshman – Chelsea Coleman, Jadyn Gallardo, Alyssa Martin, Allie McCurley, Luke Schulte, Tyler Viohl.

    All vocal soloists received a I! The vocal soloists were Hope Casner, Brant Cotta, Jadyn Gallardo, Aubreigh Haxton, Luke Schulte, and Taylor Schulte.

    Our band received a high II. We have 20 members this year. Seniors – Baylee Booker, Brant Cotta, Cydney Larson, Juniors – Hope Casner, Creek Love, Taylor Schulte, and Hayley Sprouse, Sophomores – Shelby Handlin, Aubreigh Haxton, Emma Huntley, Connor Jones, Noah Phillips, Brayden Pierce, Savannah Shively, Freshmen – Chelsea Coleman, Seth Drouhard, Jadyn Gallardo, Allie McCurley, Tori Sandoval, and Tyler Viohl.

    The instrumental soloist were Baylee Booker – clarinet (I), Brant Cotta – alto sax (I), and Hope Casner – trumpet (II).

    Regional solos and small ensembles was hosted at Butler Co Community College on March 30th. We had a strong showing once again! The Argonaires and the ladies' treble ensemble both earned a I. Vocal soloists earning I were Brant, Taylor, Luke, and Jadyn. Aubreigh earned a II for her vocal solo. Baylee scored a I for her clarinet solo.

    We traveled to Hesston College for state on April 27th. The Argonaries received a II and our treble ensemble earned a I! Brant's vocal solo also earned I. The rest of the vocal solos and Baylee's clarinet solo all earned II. It was a great finish to a wonderful year in choir and band!
