Family Reading and Activity Night

On Monday, October 29th, Argonia Elementary had this year’s first Family Reading & Activity Night. The theme was camping, and the evening started with dinner at 6:00. Families enjoyed ham & cheese sliders, macaroni & cheese, beans, and vegetables. Centers started at 6:30 with each family getting a schedule when they first arrived. They rotated between four centers that lasted 15 minutes each. In the cafeteria, they got to eat yummy, gooey s’mores while coloring camping pictures. Card games, board games, and puzzles were played in the gym. Mrs. Downey read “A Camping Spree with Mr. Magee” to everyone in the library. Art was in the IRC room. Students’ hands were painted yellow and red, and they used their hand prints to create a campfire. A big thank you to the volleyball girls for coming and helping us with that, and to the teacher who stayed and helped everything run smoothly. Everyone really enjoyed themselves!
