2018 Volleyball Post-Season Honors
The following Lady Raiders received post-season awards for the efforts during the 2018 volleyball season:
All-League 1st Team: Seniors, Baylee Booker and Cora Vineyard
All-League 2nd Team: Sophomores, Aubreigh Haxton and Alexis Vineyard
Cora Vineyard also received All-State 2nd team honors.
Baylee Booker ran a very effective offense for the Lady Raiders as the only setter and putting the ball where the team needed it, having 656 assists for the season. She also played an important part in our defense as our dig leader with 206 digs total. Baylee was the serving ace leader as well, serving 92 aces with a 95% serving percent.
Cora Vineyard served as middle blocker/hitter playing all the way around the court. She was the go to attacker for the Raiders and had a very impressive .402 hitting percentage with 371 kills total for the season. Her defense was stellar as well with 60 blocks and 176 digs. In addition, she was the leading serve receiver for the Lady Raiders at a 92%.
Aubreigh Haxton played outside hitter for the 2018 season and for some matches in the season played all the way around. She was another go to attacker for the Lady Raiders and had a .213 hitting percentage with 176 total kills for the season. She added 15 aces, 74 digs, and 23 solo blocks for the team.
Alexis Vineyard played right side hitter for the Lady Raiders as well as playing all the way around the court with some very vital defense and passing components for the team. She stepped in and took the most serve receive passes with 236 total passes at 90%. She had a .153 hitting percentage with a total of 106 kills and added 170 digs for the season. She also had 29 serving aces with a 95% serving percentage.
Congratulations to these Lady Raiders for their hard work and dedication to their team and the sport of volleyball. These honors are well deserved!
