Argonia High School 2018 Commencement Ceremony
Argonia High School’s class of 2018 commencement ceremony was held at Argonia High School gym on Sunday May 20, 2018. Argonia High School has sent fifteen well rounded and prepared students into the world to take it by the tail. The year passed by in a blur; and though those we say goodbye to will be missed, it was a joyful day.
Graduation is the endcap of secondary education and marks the beginning of another stage of these young people’s lives. Each of these students has worked hard and showed perseverance to get to this stage of their lives. Their hard work and dedication has paid off and will continue as they embark on the next leg of their journey.
National Honor Student Kamden Basinger son of Kelly Basinger plans to attend Wichita State University majoring in Aerospace engineering.
Cassidy Boese daughter of Susan Reynolds and Doug Boese plans on entering the work force for a year and then going to cosmetology school.
Micah Carter son of Barbara Lovelace has joined the United States Navy and plans on going to school after serving in the Navy utilizing the GI Bill.
National Honor Student Moriah Carter daughter of Barbara Lovelace plans to attend Hutchinson Community College majoring in business.
Haden Craig son of Buddy Craig and Dana Craig plans on going to Northern Oklahoma College in Enid OK majoring in Anthropology.
National Honor Student and Valedictorian, Leah Fitch daughter of Brian and Jessica Fitch plans to attend Wichita State University majoring in engineering.
Kamry Garibaldo daughter of Dallas and Sandra Pontious plans to enter the workforce.
National Honor Student Alyssa Hammond daughter of Cris and Tanya Hammond plans to attend Kansas State University majoring in Kinesiology.
National Honor Student and Salutatorian, Caitlyn Hammond daughter of Cris and Tanya Hammond plans to attend Kansas State University majoring in Food Science.
Anthony Handlin son of Carl Rowell and Kimberly Handlin-Rowell. Anthony plans to attend Cowley County Community College and earning a welding certificate.
Giovanni Hernandez son of Chontae and John Layton and Joaquin and Keren Hernandez plans to attend Fort Hays State University majoring in nursing.
National Honor Student Amelia Kollmeyer daughter of Natalie Shirley and Mike Kollmeyer plans to attend Kansas State University and major in Math.
Trevor Pierce son of Jim and Tara Pierce plan to attend North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit majoring in Agricultural Equipment Technology.
National Honor Student Madalyn Rhea daughter of Anthony and Anna Rhea plans to attend Fort Hays State University and majoring in Finance.
National Honor Student Kaylee Schulte daughter of Rick and Tammy Schulte plans to attend Cowley County Community College and will major in business management/administration.
