SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
April 18, 2018
5:00 PM
Call to Order: President Brian Fitch called the April 18, 2018, special meeting to order at 5:00 pm with six members present. Those members were Rick Nafziger, Joe Allen, Brian Fitch, Shane Morrison, Scott Greenwood and Sarah Vineyard. Also present were Superintendent Julie McPherron and CayLee Koehler.
Dave Gaddie was not present.
Approve Agenda: Rick Nafziger made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Shane Morrison seconded the motion. Motion carried 6-0.
Appoint Acting Clerk: Sarah Vineyard made a motion to appoint CayLee Koehler as Acting Clerk. Joe Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried 6-0.
Executive Session: Brian Fitch made a motion and Shane Morrison seconded the motion to enter into executive session at 5:05 p.m. for 55 minutes to discuss non-elected personnel exception under KOMA, to protect the privacy rights of the individual(s) to be discussed for the purpose for interviewing a candidate for high school principal. The candidate and Dr. McPherron were invited to stay.
The board returned to regular session at 6:00 p.m. The candidate and Dr. McPherron left the meeting to tour the building.
The candidate left the building at 6:15 p.m. Dr. McPherron rejoined the meeting.
Discussion, no action taken.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
