KU Honors AHS Seniors

Two Argonia students were recently honored at the Kansas Honors Ceremony. The students from Argonia were Leah Fitch and Catie Hammond.

Catie attended Hutchinson High School on November 8th to receive her award. Leah Fitch attended North High School (Wichita) November 9th to receive her award.

These students were chosen because they were in the top 10% of the 2018 senior class. Aaron Dewlen, Principal of AHS, said “Being recognized by the KU Alumni Association as part of the KU Honors Program is a great accomplishment and a testament to these two young ladies’ hard work over the last 4 years. I’m very proud of both of them and look forward to seeing them continue their hard work.” When Leah and Catie were asked how they felt about receiving such an award, Leah said “It feels good to receive this award and be recognized for my hard work.” Catie then said, “It was a nice honor to receive and I was glad to be recognized for my hard work in my academics.”

On behalf of the Argonia High School faculty and students, we would like to congratulate both Leah Fitch and Catie Hammond for a great job and for receiving these awards. Keep up the hard work!
