CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE VIDEO PROJECT

This year, the sixth grade class tried something new for the 4th Nine Weeks. They read a “Choose Your Own Adventure” series book for their book project that we borrowed from the public library and took note of the format of this style of books. As you read through the book, the author allows the reader to make decisions or choices at certain parts of the storyline. Based on the reader’s decision, they are led to a particular page in the book to find out what happens because of that choice. Then, the students worked as a class to create their own storyline for a video version of a Choose Your Own Adventure story. They had to decide who would act out the role of the characters and which script paths they wanted to write. The class voted to go with Wesley Weishaar’s idea of two kids who stumble upon a strange object on a football field and decide to roll it, unaware of the consequences and danger that might lie ahead.

This is where you can come in! Just go here to decide where the boys should end up. Enjoy choosing your own adventure!
