COAT DRIVE

KAY Citizenship Week will be Dec. 4 – 10 this year and our local KAY Club will be doing something every day to participate in the week. One of the projects they will be doing is a coat drive for those who cannot afford warm clothing for the winter. There will be boxes set up at both entrances to the Junior High basketball game on December 15 and the High School basketball game on December 16. We will be accepting used and in good shape coats, jackets, gloves, mittens, stocking hats and scarves of all sizes. Thank you for helping the KAY members help keep some families warm this winter.

AHS FOOD DRIVE FOR THE ARGONIA FOOD BANK

The KAY Club is sponsoring a food drive for our local food bank the week of Dec. 12 – 16. All junior high and high school students will be bringing in items every morning that week. For every item brought in, the student will receive a ticket to deposit it in one of the containers for different prizes! Please help support our local food bank with your generous food donations.

ELEMENTARY FOOD DRIVE FOR RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE

December  12 – 16

The Argonia KAY Club is sponsoring a food drive for the Wichita Ronald McDonald House. All of your donations will assist families with sick and injured children who stay at the Ronald McDonald House or the Ronald McDonald Family Room.

Each year the Ronald McDonald Charity helps over 1700 sick children and their families. They rely on donations to help make their lives a little bit easier. Thank you for caring and sharing!

We are asking each grade level to bring different items that are on the Wish List so that the Ronald McDonald House is not overwhelmed with too many of one item. Students may bring items to school though the week of Dec. 12 – 16 and turn them in to the KAY members who will be at the school every morning. For every item turned in the student will receive a ticket to put their name on and deposit it in one of the containers for different prizes!

Preschool: Snack-size sandwich bags (zippered)

Kindergarten: Paper towels

First grade: Fruit, Jello, & Pudding cups

Second grade: Aluminum foil

Third grade: Travel size deodorants, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush

*Other items on the wish list if you want to assist are:  trash bags – 4 gallon & 13 gallon, dishwasher detergent, plastic food storage containers, canned chicken, ham, and tuna, children’s DVD’s, Clorox bleach, individual snacks, crackers, and chips.
