Titans Earn Post-Season Honors
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe A&A Titans season ended in the Bi-District round of the playoffs. The Titans finished the regular season 7-2 after a heart breaking last second loss in the district championship to South Central 48 - 42. This loss meant the Titans were district runner-ups and thus sent them on the road for the first round of the playoffs. They traveled to Claflin, KS to take on the undefeated Central Plains Oilers. The Titans got off to a great start and were ahead 12 - 8 after the first quarter. A&A would get one more score in the second quarter to regain the lead 20 - 16 before things started to go downhill. The Titans were plagued with penalties and turnovers all night and the Oilers took advantage of the miscues. The Titans ended up falling 60 - 20 to finish 7 - 3.
Five Titans received All-District Honors. They were seniors Brady Ricke and Seth Hemberger, junior Trevor Pierce, and sophomores Masen McDaniel and Ezra Goodman. The Argonia players awarded were; Seth Hemberger - All-District First Team Runningback, Linebacker, and Returner, and Trevor Pierce - All-District First Team Quarterback and Punter, and Second Team Linebacker. I would like to congratulate these recipients as well as the rest of the team for another successful season. These awards may be awarded to the individuals but they are reflections on the team and all of their hard work. I would like to thank our graduating seniors for their four years of hard work and leadership, and I would like to wish them the best of luck in the future.
