Fire Safety with Kindergarten and Preschool

This year the fire station came to us at the school. The preschool and kindergarten went together to the gym to watch the firefighters present us fire safety tips to keep us safe. They talked about how to behave if a fire was in the home, what to do if one caught fire, and how to call for help! The firefighters got dressed in their suits in front of the kids to make sure that they knew that there was nothing to be afraid of! The firefighters have a hard time talking and hearing when they have all their gear on so the students practiced being loud so they could be heard…. not surprising this was a skill they didn’t need practice on ;). While practicing being loud special guest FirePup came out to play! The students got to try on the fire gear. Finally, we went outside to see the firetrucks and spray the hoses. They all had a wonderful time and we really appreciate our firefighters taking time out of their day to come and visit us!
