Faith Gaddie Advances to the State Track Meet

The Argonia track team will finish up their track season at the state meet in Wichita for the 3rd consecutive year.  Faith Gaddie will be attending the state meet for the 3rd year in a row, only this time she will be competing in two events.  Gaddie not only qualified for the state meet in the long jump, an event which she has medaled in the last 2 years but she also qualified in the triple jump. She placed 3rd in the long jump event at the 1A regional at Garden City and she placed 4th  in the triple jump.  She was one of 7 members of the Argonia track team who met the regional qualifying mark and was able to make the trip to Garden City.

Jordan Thompson ended her season with a personal best throw in the javelin at 87’4”.  Austin Tracy ended his high school career just short of the state meet by placing 6th  in the shot put. He made it to finals in the event, but missed the mark of 4th place in which he needed to make to get to Wichita. Kolten Koerner had one of his best jumps of the year in the triple jump which was good enough to advance him to finals but also just short of the state meet. Aaron Harsh ran fast enough to get him into the finals in the 100M dash but was just a tenth of a second away from qualifying for state in a very tight race getting him 6th place.  The boys 4x100M relay team (Harsh, Koerner, Seth Hemberger, Trevor Pierce) finished off a very successful year by placing 8th n the regional meet.

WAY TO GO RAIDERS ON A SUCCESSFUL SEASON AND GOOD LUCK AT STATE, FAITH!
