Titans Finish Historic Season 2nd at State
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe A&A Titan football season came to a close with a loss to the Victoria Knights by a score of 52-8 in Newton on November 22nd. The Titans finished with a 12-1 record and became the first team in AHS history to make to the state championship game.
The Titans started out the game by holding the Knights on 4th down in their first possession, but things quickly turned. Four turnovers throughout the contest resulted in a 36-0 halftime deficit. The Titans won the 3rd quarter by shutting out Victoria and scored their lone touchdown on a 19-yard reception from Alec McDaniel to Andrew Mages.
The loss marks the last game for Seniors Andrew Mages, Jerry Swart, Austin Tracy, and Garrett Wells. Thank you’s go out to these seniors and everyone who has come out throughout the season to support the Titans on their unprecedented run.
