Faith Gaddie Wins First "Raider of the Month"
Faith Gaddie, a senior at AHS, became the first “Raider of the Month” in October. The Activities/Athletics Department of Argonia High School has decided to recognize one student a month who has demonstrated exceptional pride and integrity while competing in athletics or activities. Students are nominated by coaches and sponsors and, once a month, a student is chosen as “Raider of the Month.”
Faith was chosen for the month of October after being nominated by Coach Adelhardt. Coach Adelhardt had this to say about Faith: “She participates in multiple activities, and supports others. She has shown more leadership than anyone else on the volleyball team by coming up with ideas to make us gel better as a team. She also has sent cookies with the football team on most Fridays to show her support. She is the lead role in the upcoming play as well. She is also a good student academically.”
The “Raider of the Month” is part of a renewed effort to build school pride. The selected student's picture is posted on a bulletin board along with comments from the coach or sponsor who nominated him or her. Look for it the next time you are walking the hallways of AHS!!
