Congressman Mike Pompeo Visits Argonia High School
Launch the media gallery 1 playerRepublican Congressman, Mike Pompeo, made a stop on Monday morning, August 25th at Argonia High School to visit with all of the junior high and high school students and staff.
Mr. Pompeo reminded the students of the importance of voting and also told them his day-to-day responsibilities. He even passed around his “voting card” that he uses whenever there is a bill that is voted on in the House.
The students were then invited to ask questions and did so for nearly an hour. Students learned where he grew up, what brought him to Kansas, how much money he makes, challenges he faces from the opposition, and he was even asked if he really likes his job.
