The preferred method is to fill out the forms online. If you do not have a computer at home, then you may wish to use the public library. If this is not an option, please contact the counselor or financial aid office at the college your child will be attending. The web sites have changed to www.fafsa.gov and www.pin.ed.gov .
Attention all males: If you are 18 and over, or within 30 days of your 18th birthday, you must register with the selective service at www.sss.gov or go to your local post office. If you are already 18 and haven’t registered yet, do so immediately. For question call 847-688-6888. You are breaking the law if you don’t register and could be sent to prison for up to 5 years, may be fined up $250,000 and you may not qualify for federal student grants or loans for college.
