Lady Raiders Win Opener

December 4^th, Argonia Lady Raiders defeated Attica 91-22. Following a 36-8 first quarter lead, Argonia continued to rally and played well defensively throughout the contest. Ten Lady Raiders scored and 19 steals were tallied for Argonia. Brooke Boatright led all scorers with 24 and added 6 assists. Bandi Daerr led in rebounding with 6, Ashton Stansbury added 5, and Davi Peetoom 4. Ali Brewster led the team in steals with 5 for the evening and Rachel Simon, Brandi Daerr, and Brooke Boatright added 3 steals a piece. The total team effort resulted in unselfish play and the point production was spread throughout – Boatright 24, Stansbury 19, Brewster 17, Simon 9, J. Peetoom 8, D. Peetoom 6, Daerr 4, Allen 2, Drouhard 1, and S. Neifert 1.  The Junior Varsity contest also resulted in a victory 41-8. Jaci Peetoom scored 21 points with 11 rebounds and 5 steals. Brandi Daerr added 12 points while adding 8 assists and 4 steals. Drouhard and Neifert each added 5 rebounds. Devon Allen added 3 points, Lindsay Drouhard 2, Brandi Mabes 2, and Shannon Neifert 1.

Argonia will be playing Thursday vs. Central Burden, Friday vs. Norwich, and Saturday vs. Caldwell, at the Border Queen Classic in Caldwell. Thursday and Friday games will begin at 3:30 and Saturday's game will begin at 6:00pm. We look forward to seeing you at the games!
