Community Service Workday

On Saturday, November 21, the Argonia Ministerial Alliance sponsored a community service work day to benefit the Argonia school district. Over 40 people showed up at 9:00 that morning ready to work. There were many projects completed throughout the day: painting the 8th grade room, painting two bookshelves, painting the elementary tornado shelters, painting the HS sign, painting items on the football field and at the bus barn, caulking windows at both buildings, cleaning lockers and desktops, cutting and copying items for the teachers, building new bookshelves at the elementary school, and refinishing the counter in the elementary office. Pastors from every church in Argonia were in attendance to help work and supervise the activities.
The day was extremely productive and the help is very much appreciated by all of us in the school district. Most of the projects were things that have had to be put on hold due to budget cuts that have occurred over the last couple of years. We want to send a huge thank you to everyone who participated in this project. It is so wonderful to see all the support our school district receives from our community.
