Mr. and Miss Argonaut Announced at Prom
The Junior-Senior Prom was held on Saturday, April 18 in the high school gymnasium. Students and staff enjoyed a meal catered by the Fence Post Restaurant and music was provided by Complete Music. The banquet featured the Senior Wills and Prophecy and the announcement of Mr. & Miss Argonaut.
Candidates for Mr. & Miss Argonaut must be a senior, have a “C” average over the last six semesters, have a distinctive personality, participate in extra-curricular activities, be loyal and of true school spirit, and be interested in the community and government. Candidates presented speeches to the student body, choosing from the following topics: brotherhood, courage, friendship, faith, love, patience, patriotism, pride, and sincerity.
Candidates for Mr. & Miss Argonaut were: Toni Peetoom representing KAY Club, Kacie Blake representing NHS, Karissa Pankratz representing Senior Class, Karyn Head representing STUCO, Marc Allen representing KAY Club, and Lawson Hemberger representing NHS.
Marc Allen and Kacie Blake were chosen Mr. and Miss Argonaut. They each received a $100 gift certificate to Wal-Mart from the Student Council.
