KAKE/EMC Reading Caravan Comes to Argonia

The KAKE/EMC Reading Caravan made a stop at Argonia Elementary School on Tuesday, April 21. During a school assembly in the library Channel 10 anchor person, Susan Peters, read the book Dear Children of the Earth to the students. Then EMC agent, John Sprague, presented a check for $500 to school librarian Pat Conklin. The money will be used to purchase new books for the library and support programs like Family Reading Night. The episode will be aired on Saturday, April 25, during the 6:00 P.M. newscast and will also be aired periodically throughout the next month. The school would like to thank EMC Insurance and KAKE Channel 10 for sponsoring this very worthwhile award.
