ARGONIA LADY RAIDER VOLLEYBALL PREVIEW
After having a pre-season meeting this past week, it looks like our preliminary team numbers are (21). It is so awesome to have these kind of numbers out for sports when you live in such a small community.
I was happy to see new faces stepping up to the challenge of becoming part of the 2008 Lady Raider Volleyball Team. We have several returning starters coming back since we were a young team last season. There are old shoes to be filled with new feet. It will be a competitive time seeing where everyone will fit in best. I am looking forward to an awesome season from this group of young ladies once again. We are blessed to have such a group of young ladies that excel in sports and the classroom like they do.
I would like to challenge all you young ladies to spend as much time in the weight room this summer as you possibly can. Continue to grow stronger and stay in shape so that when we come back in the fall we can hit the court hard and be one step ahead of the game. I look forward to another great season with all you young ladies. Let’s start setting our sites on what it is that we would like to accomplish and start working on that goal.
I would like to say thanks to our seniors this year for all their hard work for the last 4 years. It has been a real privilege coaching you young ladies. I have learned just as much from you as you have from me, and for that I thank you. I wish you ladies the best of luck with your futures. Keep that work ethic that you have had through your HS years and it will help carry you anywhere you choose to go in life. Good luck to all and have a fun and safe summer!
