ARGONIA INDIANS TRACK 2008
The Indians 2008 track season continued to be very successful again this year. Our numbers continue to grow in this sport which is great.
This community has a lot of fine young teenagers in it who have a tremendous work ethic about themselves. Given the opportunity these young teenagers will go the distance or beyond for anyone.
These student athletes were asked to try events which brought them out of their comfort zone and caused them to try different things. Some of them thought it was great and some had difficulty with change. I would like to take this opportunity to commend those young people that took advantage of the opportunity to try something new and step out of that comfort zone for a change.
I would like to say thanks to all of you track members that went the extra distance for us this season. I wish the eighth graders good luck as they enter in the HS level of competition next year. If you continue to work hard and set goals for yourself and work diligently to accomplish them, success will be in your favor. I wish the seventh graders good luck as they return to being our leaders for Jr. High next year. I encourage all of you to start thinking of what and whose shoes you want to try to fill. I would like to see all of you acquire some leadership qualities for next year, not only on the field or court but in the classroom as well. Good luck to each and every one of you and have a fun and safe summer!
