Special Meeting Minutes
April 29, 2008
Call the Meeting to Order: President Joe Allen called the meeting to order at 8:42 p.m. with six members present. Those members present were Joe Allen, Rick Nafziger, Randy Simon, Ron Work, Scott Greenwood and Lana Parks. Robert Pike was absent. Also present were Superintendent Julie Dolley, High School Principal Jon Mages, Martin Hanney, Architect and Clerk Linda White.
1. Approved Agenda: Motion by Scott Greenwood, seconded by Rick Nafziger to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 6-0.
2. Discussion and /or Appropriate Action
A. High School Restroom Bids. Martin Hanney spoke to the board of education about the bids on the high school restroom remodel. At 9:00 p.m. the board moved the meeting down the hall to look at the restrooms, and then returned to the board room at 9:15 p.m. Motion by Scott Greenwood and second by Joe Allen to accept the base bid of Caro Construction with options 2, 3, 4, and authorized the superintendent to check on option 6. Motion carried 6-0.
B. Resignations: Rick Nafziger moved and Lana Parks seconded to accept the resignation of Daniel Flores with thanks for his year of service. Motion carried 6-0.
A motion was made by Scott Greenwood, second by Randy Simon to accept the resignation of Tom Gaskill and thank him for his year of service. Motion carried 6-0.
C. Music Position: Discussion. No action taken.
D. Elementary Roof Repairs: Discussion. No action taken.
E. Disposal of Equipment: Motion by Scott Greenwood and second by Randy Simon to dispose of equipment as discussed. Motion carried 6-0.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Ron Work and seconded by Scott Greenwood to adjourn the meeting at 10:40 p.m. Motion carried 6-0.
