Planting in the garden

Family Reading Night

FAMILY READING NIGHT

Our last family reading night was held on Monday, April 28th.  With shovels in hand, students and their parents helped plant flowers in our school gardens.  We are trying a new mulching technique this year by putting down newspapers and then covering them up with mulch.  We learned this from our studies on Earth Day that we could recycle the newspapers in our gardens which would help the soil.  We're anxious to see how it works out. A big thanks to all of you who came and helped.  Our school gardens will be blooming with lots of pretty flowers.

I hope you all continue to read throughout the summer.  The City library will be open so go visit them to see all the new books they have.
