Argonia PTO Meeting Minutes
March 31, 2008
The meeting was called to order by Co-Chair Sarah Vineyard. The minutes were recorded by Secretary, Melinda McCurley.
Kelly Basinger gave the Treasurer’s Report. The checking account had $5524.89 and the Savings Account had $1404.15. Mrs. Neifert presented a receipt for reimbursement for the Kindergarten Graduation tassels in the amount of $29.45. The last two bake sales made $57.00 and $43.00.
The Box Tops Program party will be on Wednesday, May 21st from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Janis will send out a letter asking for volunteers to bring the food or to help serve. Wayne Vineyard has volunteered to grill the hotdogs. We will split the classes up, K-3 will attend the party from 2:30 – 3:00 and 4-6 will attend from 3:00 to 3:30. We will not be having an activity at the party due to the short time available.
Sarah gave an update on the Soup Labels. We currently have 2600 points with 500 bonus points yet to be credited to the account. Thank you to Mr. Murray for filling out the activity forms for 2000 bonus points.
Mr. Murray reported that they have not been able to reach the Alaska presenter. We decided to not contact him any further.
It was decided that instead of giving an update at the Kindergarten Graduation and the Honors Program, we will send out a letter highlighting what the PTO has done this past year.
Kelly reported that we would be receiving the applications for the scholarships soon from Ms. Bacon as the deadline is April 1st. She will email the applications so we can all review them in a timely manner.
We will have election of officers at the next PTO meeting in April.
