8th Grade Reading Project

As part of their final Reading grade, the 8th graders were told to choose a business that they would like to use as their Public Relations project.  This year in Reading, the 8th graders learned all about Propaganda: Transfer, Testimonials, Loaded Words, Bandwagon, and Repetition.   The students chose The Cookie Jar owned by Christina Dolley here in Argonia, Kansas.  The class was very familiar with Mrs. Dolley's delicious cookies since they were treated throughout the school year with them and they wanted everyone else to know about these wonderful cookies. Environmental Biology E-Waste Collection Day

The April 21, 2012 E-waste collection was a huge success. We served about 62 Argonia citizens in properly disposing of their old electronics. Our Environmental Science students were complimented by many of the citizens who brought in their old TV’s, computers, microwaves and cell phones. Dennis Daniels is one of only 2 licensed e-waste disposal services in the state of Kansas, and his company did a great job for our community. Sport Physicals for 2012-2013

Dopps Chiropractic will be coming to Argonia High School on May 14, 2012, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm to conduct sports physicals for the 2012-2013 school year.  Physical forms may be picked up in the high school office and should be completed, signed and brought with you on May 14, 2012, along with $15 cash or check made payable to Dopps Chiropractic.
